How do you mix this stuff? It doesn't seem water-soluable
Answer: It dissolves well in warm or hot liquid. I mix mine in my morning coffee. If using cool/cold liquid, then it doesn't mix well. A stick blender helps if using cold liquid. -

Does this product come from China?
Answer: I don't know if this rhodiola comes from China or not. I know that all the single-specie substances that BulkSupplements sells are easy to purify and easy and economical for BulkSupplements to verify purity no matter where the product originates. BulkSupplements can just tell its suppliers, 'If your shipping container full of product does not pass our US-based purity tests, you do not get paid.' However, Rhodiola and all the other herbaceous and racemic (dl or RS) materials usually cannot be easily tested or verified for purity. Piecemeal tests for heavy metals, et cetera, can be performed, however. I actually suspect that most of these non-single-specie materials do NOT come from China due to the extreme environmental pollution and prevailing cultural tendency there to adulterate materials for sale. Green tea extracts might be an exception, in that these could come from China yet still be clean. China is a big country and parts of it are still clean. Ninety percent of green tea comes from China. BulkSupplements knows that it would be in big trouble if its products are less pure than what it professes them to be. It could be a Russian product. It could also be grown in the Rocky Mountains or Canada. -

How to use this product
Answer: I take anywhere from 500mg-1g per day of this stuff and I use it in the form of a tea. These powdered herb extracts are best taken warm and/or hot, that has had the best effect for me personally. You can capsulize it, but if you mix it with some other herbs and/or tea it really isn't too bad of a taste, you actually learn to really appreciate it in the morning! -

It makes me go to sleep...quickly. I was hoping this would help for energy. What am I doing wrong?
Answer: In my experience, taking too much makes me feel lethargic. This might be the issue in your case. When I take an amount that's about 1/3 to 1/2 of a '0' capsule, it generally perks me up. However, I have read reports from many people about Rhodiola, and there seems to be a wide variance in how people respond to it. I would suggest adjusting dosage and timing of ingestion. If that does not work, it may not be agreeing with you. -
