Answer: Corrosion-resistant aluminum alloy mounts are used to make these brackets. -

Does the 16 pack include the hardware (not shown) to mount the brackets?
Answer: Yes, it contains the parts needed for installation. -
Question:
How do these hold up in the wind on the roof of an RV?
Answer: The wind might not hurt the panel or brackets. It could be like a sail or parachute and could be ripped completely off your roof. It depends on how strong the wind is. -
Question:
How are these supposed to store flat if the tilting support beams don't match holes when everything is seated flat?
Answer: The best way to store these flat would be to remove one of the bolts holding the support leg and either bolt all three pieces together on one end or remove the support bar entirely. It can be done, just two more steps. Bolts are hand knobs so no real hardware for installation/adjustment (however may want wrench handy in case wing nut turns). -

What gauge is the metal?
Answer: I'm not sure what gauge this bracket is but it is heavier than the factory z-brackets that came with my solar panel. I was also able to upgrade my mounting from 4 brackets per panel to 6. Since these are mounted on a motor home, I felt that the panel needed to be mounted at 6 places for safety. -

How long are the rails?
Answer: The rails length of the 41in bracket is 41in (the longest side), and the Tilt Angle Bracket is 21.5in (the second-longest side). The rails of the 28in bracket is 28in (the longest side), and the Tilt Angle Bracket is 14.6in (the second-longest side). -
Question:
So, to clarify, can these be laid flat on an RV roof while traveling?
Answer: The manufacturer has redesigned the brackets (September 2022) so the panels can now be folded down and secured with the supplied bolts. Yes, storage and travel while laid flat is easily done and secure now. -
Question:
I plan on installing a 39”x65x1.5” (250W) panel to the roof of my truck. Do I need any other hardware to mount this bracket to the truck?
Answer: When you purchase the panel brackets to connect them to the roof or metal stud which is attached on top of the truck, you need brackets also some type of corking material to apply to brackets and screws once you're done to prevent water from entering the cab itself. -
Question:
Can they be bolted together side by side with 2 100 watt panels?
Answer: If your two 100W panels side by side can fit almost completely on a 41in bracket, then this is stable. -
Question:
Has anyone tried putting a pneumatic strut on these?
Answer: If the pneumatic strut would bolt into the frame, I don't see why it would not work. I have not done this, but it would seem to me it would work. -
Question:
Did anyone have water leaks? I am concerned about using screws on the roof.
Answer: The brackets work great and water leakage will depend on the care taken during installation. Use plenty of sealer (whichever brand you like best) and be sure to apply it to the bottom of the bracket, the roof where the bracket will sit, the threads of the screws, and finally, cover the whole bottom of the bracket with the sealer once the installation is complete. This should prevent leaks.
