Can this be used in a 20 or 40 gallon turtle tank?
Answer: The Bioplus 100 is recommended for up to 30 gallon tanks by the manufacturer. Turtles being dirtier than fish i would want to make sure i had plenty of filtration so i would not use the Bioplus 100 on a 40 gallon tank but would move to the Bioplus 200 for that size tank. Answer: Hello. Thank you for your question. The OASE Bioplus 200 is suitable for aquariums up to 55 gallons. It has a built in integrated diffuser with adjustable water flow nozzle as opposed to a spray bar. It allows for uniform surface movement, prevents formation of biofilm, and provides added aeration. What is the minimum required depth of water inorder for the filter to function?
Answer: This filter is intended to be operated fully submerged, so the filter height plus whatever gravel or substrate you have on the bottom of the tank would create the minimum depth.
