Tovolo Ice Cube Molds & Trays Editorial Review
** Tovolo Silicone Mold Freezer 1.25 Whiskey Perfect Cube Ice Tray** The Tovolo Silicone Mold Freezer Ice Tray has garnered mixed reviews from customers, showcasing a blend of commendable features alongside some notable drawbacks. Users have praised the ability of this tray to create large, clean ice cubes that are perfect for whiskey and other mixed drinks. Many appreciated how easy it is to pop the ice cubes out when following the recommended method of running the tray under lukewarm water. Additionally, the trays are designed to be space-efficient, stacking neatly and minimizing wasted freezer space. However, while the design does prevent ice from being interconnected, some users found the removal of the cubes to be a challenge due to the thickness of the silicone and the tray's overall design. A few reviewers have noted that the cubes could be difficult to extract, leading to frustration when trying to access them quickly. Cleaning the trays has also been cited as a concern, with many expressing disgust over the white residue left behind and difficulties in eliminating freezer burn flavors from the ice. Despite these issues, the overall sentiment appears positive, especially for those seeking larger ice cubes. Many continue to recommend these trays for their functionality and aesthetic appeal, although some suggest pairing them with smaller trays for cocktails served in narrower glasses. **
