Maier 117226 Blue Gas Tank Cover Compatible/Replacement for Honda TRX250R

The Maier 117226 Blue Gas Tank Cover for the Honda TRX250R has received a mix of feedback from customers, indicating a range of experiences with its aesthetic and functional qualities. Overall, it is seen as a decent option for covering up older tanks, providing a fresh, visually appealing look that many users appreciate. Most reviewers have noted that it fits reasonably well, aligning adequately with the specifications for the TRX250R. However, there are some notable concerns regarding the materials used in production. Several customers have pointed out that the plastic feels "cheap" and has raised worries about its durability, particularly when exposed to fuel. One user mentioned a specific issue with gas potentially damaging the product near the gas cap area, suggesting that it might not hold up well against standard fuel types. There are also comments about color mismatches—specifically, the red shade of the cover not aligning perfectly with other products from the same brand. Despite these criticisms, many recognize the value offered by the tank cover at its price point, with its overall design and fit positively acknowledged. While it may not be the most robust option available, it serves as a suitable replacement for those looking to enhance the appearance of their Honda TRX250R without breaking the bank. **
