The board cleans up easily in the dishwasher. The board has limitations in terms of temperature, and it is not suitable to place anything over 170 degrees on it. It is said to be 1/2" thick, but the thickness is only at the 4 corners where the grippy material is located, and the board itself is 3/8" thick. The size of the board is quite big, which makes it a hand-wash item that needs to be stored away from other cutting boards. The corner hook is handy and does not get in the way.
