Answer: Our HOMEIDEAS 3X absorbent shaggy bath rug is made by 100% polyester, and we suggest you no to dye because it might change the texture and absorbency. -

Answer: It's pretty thick but not so thick that the lid won't stay open for a bit of time on its own. It's nice and cushiony to sit on but when you open the lid, it will stay open for about 10 seconds before it starts trying to push forward a bit. If it's been on there a while, it will conform and stay open longer. -
