Answer: Yes. The Tarmac SL6 has a BB30 (Specialized calls it OSBB) bottom bracket. This adapter is for BB30 bottom bracket to Shimano cranks. -

Does it matter which side you install this on the BB shell??? Which part goes to the drive side??
Answer: The side with the threads on the inside or the part you thread into, commonly known as the 'female' side, goes into the drive side. The threaded part goes into the non-drive side. If you use a Shimano crank, you may also need the 0.5mm spacer on each side. The BB should include 5 plastic spacers, two of which are 0.5mm and the other two are 1mm. -
