The leather upper is strong and neatly stitched, and the tanning resists rain, mud, salty slush, and dusty soil. However, it is not recommended for icy streets. The two stirrups are positioned front and back for easy entry of foot, and the sole is solid, providing a very stable walking experience with good arch support. Despite a wait time for backordered UK size 9, customers love these boots and have worn them for many years. They fit as expected, but are not wide. One customer suggests purchasing a good quality insole to improve the arch support. Customers have worn them in a range of environments from oily concrete to Louisiana swamp land and have never had boots as durable as these.
