- Premium top coat grinding aid reduces heat and allows for a cooler running abrasive.
- Features an ultra-strong and precision-built bi-directional tape joint, allowing belts to be run in either direction.
- Longevity ranges from 6 to 10, with the 24 - 120 grit range best for steel and alloys, and the 24 - 1000 grit range being suitable for wood and various materials.

Who makes these? They say made in house by red label but the belts say deer fos all over them which I can get cheaper if I buy that brand direct.
Answer: All belts are made (cut, joined, etc) in Michigan. Different types of abrasive material comes in from a variety of places in large rolls (like carpeting). Deerfos is one of those places. -
Question:
How will these work for hardened steel and forge scale?
Answer: Probably not the best idea. Forge scale is very hard, harder than hardened steel. It would be waste of a good belt to grind scale. Even ceramics would be chewed up. As to hardened steel, I can't imagine why you might need to use a 36 grit on already hardened steel.
