- Venta del Barón extra virgin olive oil comes from the PDO Priego de Córdoba region in Andalusia, Spain, an area with a long tradition of olive cultivation located within the Sierras Subbéticas Natural Park.
- Thanks to its unique microclimate, the region produces olive oils with distinctive character and quality. At the Muela olive mill in Priego de Córdoba, where Venta del Barón is produced, olives are cold-pressed less than 15 hours after harvesting to preserve their natural aroma and freshness. Only the finest first juice is selected in accordance with the strict production standards of the PDO Priego de Córdoba. No preservatives or artificial colors are added.
- The result is a bright, luminous extra virgin olive oil with intense fruity aromas of green herbs, peppermint, almond, banana, and apple. On the palate, it offers flavors reminiscent of vegetables such as tomato and artichoke, with a profile that is sweet at first, followed by a slight bitterness and a progressive spiciness.
- This olive oil pairs well with a wide variety of dishes, including garden salads, roasted or grilled vegetables, boiled or steamed vegetables, fish, white and red meats, soups, stews, sauces, and legumes.
- It is an extra virgin olive oil with a naturally high polyphenol content (617 mg/kg), featuring intense fruitiness with grassy notes, mint, almond shell, banana, and apple, complemented by hints of tomato and artichoke plants. The oil is complex, balanced, and harmonious in both taste and aroma.
