Yale Door Closers 2701 x 689 Editorial Review

### Editorial Review The door closer in question has garnered a mixed reception among customers, balancing between functionality and longevity. Installation appears to be a sticking point for many users, as several reviewers noted that the process can be complicated, often requiring specific tools like a Phillips or slot head screwdriver. Once installed, however, many users appreciate the adjustable features such as swing and latch speed, as well as an effective back check that prevents doors from being forcefully blown open by wind. Despite these positives, durability is a major concern. Several customers reported failures within a short timeframe—ranging from six months to a year of light use—culminating in instances where the mechanism completely failed, resulting in oil leakage that created a mess. This undermined the overall satisfaction many users found in the product's ease of adjustment and quality feel. Furthermore, a notable issue arose surrounding warranty support, with complaints about the lack of coverage for products purchased through Amazon, creating customer frustration over potential replacements. In conclusion, while this door closer offers solid performance where installed and boasts useful adjustable features, its questionable durability coupled with limited warranty support detracts significantly from its value proposition for some customers. ###
