The tool puts fold lines on two sides of the bead, which is better than what a standard two-notch crimp tool does to the beads. It can go between the last bead and a finding, but some customers find it very clumsy to use. One customer also reported that it leaves a bulging piece on one side if used with Softflex heavy heading wire that is 22 gauge / 0.609mm thick.
