Hard Rock Editorial Review
**** "Waiting For The Roar" showcases Fastway's evolution as a band, transitioning into what can be regarded as a more commercial sound while still retaining the essence that fans loved. Released in 1985, this third studio album features a mix of rock tracks that resonate with listeners, particularly songs like "Tired Of Your Love", the energetic "Little By Little", and the titular "Waiting For The Roar". The selection of tracks indicates a varied approach to songwriting, with the uplifting vibe of "Doing Just Fine" adding a bright contrast to the album. Despite some changes in the band's lineup, including the introduction of Paul Reid on bass and Alan Connor on drums, the album delivers solid performances, though it may not reach the heights of their earlier works. While some fans acknowledge the album as a fine continuation of their discography, others express a sense of nostalgia for the raw edge found in the band's first two albums. Overall, while "Waiting For The Roar" might not be the definitive Fastway album, it still holds a place in the hearts of dedicated listeners, offering a pleasing experience that showcases the band's potential during a transformative era. **
